Launch of two collaborations with Zonoff with a concert at Cave12, Geneva

In early November 2021 we launched two new editions, both realised as co-edition with Zonoff.

First there is the fantastic vinyl record OMBRA MAGNETICA that goes back to a residency by Eleonora Polato at the Q-O2 in Brussels and a project that she realised there together with Jonathan Frigeri in 2016. Now the vinyl record is available, together with a text by Julia Eckhardt.

Ombra Magnetica – Eleonora Polato (Anita) and Jonathan Frigeri (Johnny Haway) gave a concert at Cave12 on Friday 5 November. (Altered States of objects, Eleonora Polato: synth, voice, harmonica, bowls and Jonathan Frigeri: drums, sampling, magic acts)

opening act was Bloedneus & de Snuitkever (Aulos solo)

At the same time, a journal of the IIRRM was presented: the Annotations of the IIRRM. A newspaper of the ‘Institut de Recherche sur la Radio et la Magie’, which will be published twice a year – sometimes in French and sometimes in English – and will contain texts and images around questions of magic and radio. The numbers will be co-edited by the artists who have done a residency at IIRRM @ Zonoff in Geneva.

One text is about conspiracy theories as an artistic form, about fear and how to handle it in a society that still struggles to figure out how it deals with text and code.

Another one by Vincenzo Latronico revolves around the simple and, at the same time, very complex question of an existence proof based on logic and language.
If you want to have one copy, you get it directly in Geneva by chance in a record shop, or you can also order it here.
